Fast Lentil Soup
Do not forget to include lentil soup in your healthy meals. Until recently, relatively insignificant and forgotten legume is now back with the big steps back on the scale of popularity, because modern people are increasingly aware of the importance of healthy and natural diet. The lentil has some favorable effects on health, ranging from assistance in maintaining a healthy body weight onwards.
Ingredients
- olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- onion - 1
- garlic - 2 cloves
- red lentils - 7 ounces
- water or vegetable stock - 4 1/4 cups
- marjoram - 1 pinch
- chives - handful, chopped
Instructions
- Heat oil in pan and brown chopped onion and mashed garlic in it. Add rinsed lentils and brown them.
- Add stock to lentils and simmer for 15 minutes.
- When lentils are soft, season soup with marjoram, add chopped chives and remove from flame. Serve with white pastry.
