Tiramisu - the most popular Italian dessert
Tiramisu is a popular Italian dish of freshly prepared coffee in which we soak cookies or dough and add a delicious cream made of mascarpone on top. You can make your own dough like described in this recipe or use already made cookies and soak them in coffee.
Ingredients
- DOUGH (you can also use cookies)
- eggs - 4
- sugar - 100 g
- plain flour - 100 g
- baking powder - 1/2 of small pack
- CREAM
- instant coffee - 250
- almond liqueur - 3 spoons
- eggs - 5
- icing sugar - 150 g
- mascarpone - 300 g
- cocoa
Instructions
- Divide egg yolks and whites. Whip yolks with sugar firstly. Whip the form snow from egg whites and mix both together. Merge the flour and baking powder and put into the batter. Spread over the baking tin lined with baking paper in a thin layer. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 15-20 minutes. Let it cool off.
- Prepare 250 ml of strong coffee. When cooled, add one spoon of liqueur. Divide egg yolks and whites again. Whip egg whites with sugar firstly. Melt yolks with icing sugar. Add 300 g of mascarpone at the end, do not whip. Add the rest of almond liqueur, merge whites snow gently.
- Cover the bottom of cake form with a layer of batter. Sprinkle with cold coffee evenly. Cover with mascarpone layer and another batter layer. Sprinkle with coffee. The last layer is the cream. Flatten the surface and powder with cocoa.
